Adult Ministries

At Greater Heights UMC, what we are about is putting Jesus first -- in our lives, in our hearts, and in our church.  And when a church is about Jesus and Jesus alone, there are no limits!  It enables us to make a real difference in the world.  Whether you grew up in church or aren’t even sure you like church, we invite you to come and see for yourself!  Our hope is that each of you will find a place of love and acceptance.  We are currently in the process of determining what programs our adults need and want in order to support and help you live the life God meant for you to live.  In the meantime, all adults, youth, and children at Greater Heights UMC share the unconditional love of Christ without judgment, guilt, or shame (what we call Mad, Crazy Love) and you can learn more about that throughout this website. 

Special announcement:    Greater Heights UMC was recently recognized as an Acts 2 church in the North Carolina Methodist Conference for reaching the lost and unchurched; having prayer-based and spirit-filled worship services; a church whose leaders empower them and don’t do ministry for them; a church that wants to be challenged and not coddled; and a church that takes risks in attacking poverty, seeking justice, and caring for the needy.
